How is it June already?!

It's funny how the four months Matt & I spent in North Carolina felt SO LONG.  The time there just didn't seem to move fast enough.  Now that we've spent a similar amount of time here in California, we are amazed how fast it has gone!  Time flies when you're actually living somewhere you actually want to live!

I'm really excited that after two & a half months of hunting and searching diligently for a job, I finally got hired and am starting on Monday! I haven't been working since the end of September last year so I'm really nervous about getting back into the grind of things.  I'm still an accountant (although I took a major pay cut. Womp.) and the office is half an hour's drive away. Since I pretty much took public transportation my entire life in NYC, I am pretty nervous about dealing with California rush hour traffic every day.  I guess I will have to see how it goes.

The extra income coming in means we can enjoy eating out at restaurants again, I can go shopping again, and Matt can buy parts for Jeep (we named our Jeep... Jeep.  Original, I know).  Although I am not making anywhere close to what I was making in Manhattan, any additional income is better than the zero dollars I have been making since last September.

In other news, we removed the soft top on Jeep for the summer.  The beauty of living in southern California means almost zero rain until the fall and cool temperatures in the 70's every day, which is perfect for a topless Jeep! Woohoo!
